Philadelphia College of Pharmacy Summer Camps

    Join the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at Saint Joseph’s University this summer for our immersive, hands-on summer camps designed specifically for rising junior and senior high school students with an interest in pharmacy, STEM, pharmaceutical sciences or drug development. Take the first step toward a rewarding career, explore your interests and discover your future!

    PhillyPharmacy Future Academy

    Dive into the world of pharmacy and discover what it’s like to be a pharmacist. This one-day program offers hands-on activities, real-world learning experiences, and guidance from practicing pharmacists, accomplished alumni, and current students. Participants will engage in interactive demonstrations that highlight how pharmacists improve patient care through science, innovation, and clinical expertise. Learn about diverse career paths open to PharmD graduates—from hospital and community practice to clinical research, public health, and beyond.

    PharmaSTEM: Science and Drug Development

    Date: June 25, 2026 (June 24 camp is now full!)

    10:00-4:00pm

    Explore the science behind medications and drug development. This one-day camp is perfect for STEM-motivated students interested in our Bachelor of Science programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Development or Pharmacology/Toxicology. Participate in interactive labs, meet faculty and students, and learn about the many career opportunities in pharmaceutical research, forensics and  drug development. An outstanding choice for students interested in pre-medicine as well!

    What is the difference between the camps?
    • PhillyPharmacy Future Academy focuses on the profession of pharmacy and is ideal for students interested in the PharmD pathway and careers as practicing pharmacists in community, hospital, clinical or industry settings.
    • PharmaSTEM: Science and Drug Development focuses on the science behind medications and is ideal for students interested in majors such as Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Development or Pharmacology and Toxicology, and careers in research, drug development, forensics or related biomedical fields.
    Can I sign up for both camps?
    • Absolutely! This is a great way to explore the multiple options available within the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at Saint Joseph's University.
    If I want to register for both camps, do I pay two fees? What is included in the day?
    • Yes, one camp is $35, two camps cost $70
    • The fee pays for snacks and lunch, all activities, a t-shirt and assorted SJU swag.
    Do you provide lunch?
    • Yes! Lunch (pizza and salad) is provided
    • Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate special dietary restrictions but participants are welcome to pack a lunch.
    Where should students be dropped off? 
    • The Philadelphia College of Pharmacy is located at St. Joe's UCity location

      We encourage parents/guardians to drop off their students and explore Philadelphia for the day. On-campus parking is provided for students driving themselves.
    • Detailed information will be provided to registered/paid students approximately one week prior to camp. Note that PhillyPharmacy begins at 9am and PharmaSTEM begins at 10am. Both camps end at 4pm.
